Methodology

Every value is computed with the Swiss Ephemeris and the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, the standard used by India's Rashtriya Panchang.

• The day runs sunrise to sunrise; sunrise uses the Sun's upper limb with refraction.
• Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, Lagna, Amrit Kaal and Varjyam times are to the minute (IST).
• Months shown both Purnimanta and Amanta; Adhik Maas detected automatically.
• Festivals follow Dharmashastra kaal rules; marriage and other muhurats use standard nakshatra/tithi/vaar rules plus Jupiter/Venus combustion, Kharmas and Chaturmas.
• Kundali planet positions are computed astronomically in your browser with the Lahiri ayanamsa.
